All About Enamelware

What is enamelware and how does it align with our ethos?

Enamelware is produced by fusing porcelain to heavy gauge steel, resulting in an impressively durable and sustainable household product. The lineage of enameling dates back to the Mycenaeans, spanning across many cultures, and made iconic in English homes by Falcon Enamelware in the early 20th century. As craftswomen the rich history of enameling resonates in the weight and feel of each object that will provide beauty and use for a lifetime.

Care and Use.

Made from steel and coated with porcelain, enamelware is naturally nonstick and easy to clean. Our Falcon products are dishwasher safe, freezer friendly, and can go on a stovetop or in an oven at up to 530º F.

Enamelware can chip but will not break. If the outer porcelain layer chips, the steel beneath it will naturally oxidize making it safe to use (and adds a bit of character.)
