Sorella
Location: San Francisco, California
Role: Interior Designer

Project Details:
The transformation of Sorella, the sister restaurant of famed Michelin-starred Acquerello, was driven by a desire to infuse warmth and character into what was once a stark and cavernous space. Our vision was to blend modernity with a comforting ambiance reminiscent of dining in Nonna’s kitchen. Vibrant botanical wallpaper and a bespoke host stand welcome you into the space which was repainted in warm white tones with textured lime wash paint framing the kitchen pass-through. Moving the central partition a few feet into the dining room allowed for the addition of a standing bar and doubled the space in the bar area. A custom designed curved cane and maple partition that runs along the length of the bar, delineates the spaces between the dining room and bar areas adding privacy and visual interest, echoing the custom cane paneling in the entryway. Each restroom has its own playful wallpaper, conveying the thought we put into every inch of the space.
