Portland Food Hall
Location: Portland, Oregon
Role: Interior Designer, Brand Identity Consultant

Project Details:
Originally constructed in 1898, the iconic Michael G building was designed to serve as a boarding house and hotel before eventually transitioning into commercial spaces. Full building updates included exposing brick and beam work, sandblasting timbers, installation of large communal dining tables and an expansive mezzanine area which looks out over the entire food hall. The combination of beams, exposed brick, and perforated steel paneling pay homage to the industrial space while modern lighting and tile layers in to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Vibrant Arabesque tile flanks the bar on the mezzanine level to create a distinctive transition from food hall to cocktail lounge.
